All For Edy – Reid Redman (1)

I could tell she wanted to help Deb and give some inspiration to her own players about their future. “There’s also Euro ball.” “What’s that?” Deb asked. “Women’s professional basketball has been thriving over in Europe,” Dina explained. “You could get paid to play in France. I could put you in touch with a guy who might be able to help broker a deal for you. His name is Bruce Levy. He’s an agent. Just like the men have. He started a few years back and he’s got a clutch on the international market.”
Trini and Deb’s eyebrows shot up. Dina just gave them a Christmas gift to dream about. Deb and Dina took a moment to exchange contact information. Jeanne, Linda, and Edy trickled in as Trini and Deb chatted more with Coach Dina. Finally, Barb arrived wrapped in a white furry coat and hat.
We mingled over hors d’oeuvres and bottles of wine. By the time Dina pulled the standing rib roast out of the oven, we were lit. We devoured it with pleasure. Edy wore a V-neck sweater with jig-jagged red, yellow, and blue yarn creating a pattern across her breasts. The gold chain around her neck glowed against her tan skin. The unicorn charm on the end plunged between her cleavage. I gave her a ‘come hither’ look from across the room and she followed me to the bathroom.
“You’re so beautiful,” I said, kissing her soft lips. “You’re a little drunky,” she giggled, touching the tip of my nose with her finger. “I am,” I admitted. “I have a surprise for you.” “You do?” Edy played along. “What is it?” Edy let me pull her sweater and bra up, but not over her head.
Her breasts bounced freely. I sucked hard on one of her nipples. She pulled my mouth back up to her before I could engulf her again. My hands edged under the back of her sweater, touching her bare skin with my fingertips. “Ok, easy killer,” she said, pulling my chin up to her mouth. “You’ll find out tomorrow!” I teased her. We made out a little until Barb banged on the door.
“Let’s book it, you two!” Barb yelled. “We’re doing Baked Alaska for dessert!” Dina rolled out a bar cart with a beehive shaped dessert in a pie dish covered in what looked like cool whip. She and Barb performed an elaborate show of dosing the cake in liqueur and lighting it on fire. What a show! It smelled divine. Dina cut into the browned meringue, revealing a delicious ice cream on top of Grandma Wylie’s Christmas pudding cake.
After we crashed from the sugar rush, we paired off and slowed down the music. Silver Bells played in the background. I wrapped my arms around Edy’s waist, and she dangled her hands on my shoulders.

Phill yelled at Edy. “Stop! Please!” her cries bellowed across the empty courtyard. Phill Kingman, the onsite apartment manager, looked plastered. He tossed her things over the balcony like trash. Fat tears rolled down her cheeks as she picked up the items strewn across the lawn. The sadness and fear in her eyes made me ache inside as she looked up at Phill standing on the balcony outside her apartment. I stood in the parking lot, glancing around the complex as the bored onlookers trickled back to their apartments.
