Ivy let her lips press against mine again, her breathing speeding up slightly, her tongue teasing my bottom lip, dancing along the edge, her hand gravitating toward my waist, sliding under the bottom of my shirt. Pulling me closer into her, my head tilting back, my lips pulling away from hers, teasing her, wanting her to chase me, wanting her to show me how badly she wanted me. “Jesus.” Ivy whispered, her lips finding mine again, her teeth dragging along the bottom of my lip, sucking, little whimpers slipping from her throat.

“Okay, okay… I need a break.” Ivy said, pulling away, her hands still lingering on my hips. “Wow.” Ivy exhaled, her breathing still labored. Standing up, she reached for my hands and helped me up off of the floor. I stepped closer to her, “You all right?”

I asked, relieved that I could finally ask her the same question she had been asking me over and over the last few days. “No, I need a cold shower after that.” Ivy said, pulling the edge of her shirt down over the spandex of her Woxer’s, hiding the rainbow colored text on the waistband, covering her hips. She leaned down, picking up the apples that had scattered all across her floor moments before, putting them in the top of the grocery sack, trying to distract herself.

“Maybe later.” I said, winking at her as she stood up, the grocery bag in her arms. Her forearm muscles tensed up, her face in shock at what I had just said. I turned around and walked into the kitchen. “Want some help putting that stuff away?” I asked, trying to change the subject, my thoughts finally merging to another topic, one that was a lot more appealing, but almost as frightening.

I wanted Ivy and I wanted her bad. My mind still hanging out in the gutter, lingering in the most dirty place I had ever let it go. She turned me on, and fast. She made my mind go to places that I hadn’t ever let it go before, I liked it but it was also terrifying.

“Sure…” Ivy said, slowly walking behind me, following me into the kitchen.

My heart beat quickened, my palms began to sweat, the bitter cold air biting at my heels as I ran quickly through the once safe pasture; now dangerous trap. I couldn’t escape the fear of what was chasing me. It is and always will be there, staring at me, following right behind, never leaving more than a few inches between us. My eyes still closed, in fear of seeing the monster running behind me, closing in faster, caused me to trip against loose tree limbs on the path.

I stumbled but swiftly caught my balance. Refusing to allow myself to fall on the grassy terrain. His icy cold finger tips grazed along my already frostbitten skin; reaching for my sleeve as he lost his grip. I quickened my pace, my lungs burning from the chilly air and continuous running.

He is so close I can feel his anger radiating in the air behind me, I can hear his grunts, the groans escaping from the back of his throat. I didn’t have time to call the cops, if I stopped for even a second he was going to find me, he was going to kill me.

He is taunting me, letting me use all of my energy. He and I both know he is faster and stronger than I will ever be; the only thing keeping me from stopping is the fear of what he will do. I can’t escape the terror he will always leave me with, the stain he is going to leave in my mind, even if I do make it out alive.

I opened my eyes, trying to find a clear path, the enormous trees starting to appear the closer I reached to the woods. I knew that going this way was dangerous, risky, but it’s the only chance I had. He could fall just the same as I could. If I kept running in the pasture he was going to catch me, I knew he would.

I continued running, my life hanging in limbo, my legs starting to burn, starting to scream at me, threatening to collapse.
