Evolution has influenced the form and function of all organisms on Earth, and that’s particularly clear when looking at predators and prey. The two have evolved in lockstep, driving each other’s adaptations. Underpinning evolution is the idea of Information Storage and Transmission, which allows organisms to function and pass on traits from generation to generation. None of this would be possible without Energetics—a source of energy fueling the entire process and the ability of organisms to harness this energy to carry out their functions.
