The wallpaper in the hallway is Broadhead Forest by Woodchip & Magnolia, with woodwork painted in Ganache by Little Greene. ABOVE In the sitting room, sofas are draped with suzanis from That Rebel House and scattered with colourful cushions. A Joan of Arc sculpture by Alison Coaten from Kellie Miller Arts in Brighton and a 17th-century portrait above the mantel from Pearse Lukies Antiques in Petworth add a sense of drama. The wall light shades are from Alice Palmer & Co and the curtains are from Tinsmiths. BELOW LEFT The morning room walls are painted in Welmish Blew by Edward Bulmer Natural Paint.

The chinoiserie bureau reflects the family’s Thai and Chinese heritage. BELOW RIGHT The decorative French silk pelmet on the fitted bookshelves dates from 1860. April 2026 Homes & Antiques 53 ABOVE In the main bedroom, a Georgian shaving stand, sourced locally, has been repurposed as a bedside cabinet. Bedside lamps are by Jim Lawrence, with lampshades from Bloomsbury Revisited. Walls are painted in Chocolate by Edward Bulmer Natural Paint. BELOW LEFT Just in sight is Mink’s daughter’s bedroom – a through-room that can be closed off, thanks to a second set of stairs providing access to the other end of the house.

A runner by Clive Rogers adds warmth and texture. BELOW RIGHT Mink refreshed the bathroom with leftover paint from other room projects, before giving the counter a lime-wax finish. She made the sink skirt using Warner House’s Les Pecheurs fabric, adding softness and pattern. A necklace from Papua New Guinea provides a decorative touch, and a nod to the family’s love of travel.
