Just A Farm Girl Futa Werewolf 1 – Julie Law (1)

She tried to appear confident, to project an air of knowing exactly where she was going, even though her heart still hammered against her ribs. They walked for nearly an hour, and Rika finally began to feel comfortable enough to speak, beyond simple nods and acknowledgements. “What’s your name?” She asked, turning her head slightly to look at the werewolf. The brunette’s lips curved into a small smile. “Samantha,” she replied. “And yours?” “Rika.” She said it softly, enjoying the way Samantha’s blue eyes met hers.
“Rika,” Samantha repeated, testing the name on her tongue. “I like it.” They continued on their way, exhaustion weighing heavily on Rika. Her legs felt leaden with each step, and she was grateful when the familiar sight of the farm appeared through the trees. By the time they reached her home, she was too tired to care that her companion was a werewolf – just thankful to be back within the safety of their little farm. The moment she spotted her mother standing on the porch, the blonde’s face etched with worry, Rika rushed forward.
She hadn’t realized how tightly wound up she had been until she could finally feel her mother’s arms around her, squeezing her tightly. They clung to each other for a long moment, a silent exchange of relief and affection. They only parted when the older woman noticed Samantha standing behind her. The blonde’s smile faltered, replaced by a subtle tension. It seemed to be a mix of fear and apprehension. “Rika,” Hilda said, her voice regaining some of its usual brightness, though it sounded strained.
“You’re back. And you brought…” Her gaze drifted from Rika to Samantha, taking in the dark hair, the blue eyes, and finally, the wolf ears atop her head. Recognition dawned on her mother’s face. Something close to hostility followed, making Rika shiver. “A werewolf,” Hilda stated, her tone lacking its usual warmth. “You’re the one those men were hunting. What is one of your kind doing here?”
Samantha didn’t flinch under her scrutiny. She simply returned Rika’s mother’s gaze with an even expression, radiating quiet confidence. “I saved your daughter from those hunters,” Samantha explained, her voice smooth and precise. Hilda’s eyes narrowed slightly. “That wouldn’t have been necessary if they weren’t following you.” She glanced at Rika, trying to make sure her child was alright.

Rika wiped a stray strand of red hair from her brow, leaving a smear of dirt across her forehead. The sun was barely cresting the rolling hills that bordered their small plot of land, casting long shadows from the stalks of golden wheat already beginning to bow with fullness.
Her hands, though calloused from work, moved deftly as she weeded around the plump pumpkins in the vegetable patch. It was the life she was used to. Their farm was modest but yielded enough for them to live comfortably, and Rika enjoyed the feel of the earth between her fingers. It was hard work, a rhythmic cycle of planting, tending, and harvesting that left little room for dreaming, but it filled the stomach. “Rika, dear?”
Her mother’s voice, bright as sunshine even at the early hour, cut through the silence. Hilda emerged from their cottage, a basket swinging from her arm. Her blonde hair was neatly braided, framing a face that always seemed to wear a smile. Her light blue eyes, nearly identical to Rika’s own, scanned Rika with approval. “Yes, Mother?” “We’re running low on some of the medicinal herbs. Could you go to the woods and gather some more?”
The mature blonde handed Rika a small woven basket. “They grow best deeper in the woods, near the stream. Be careful, though. The sun can be deceptive within those trees, and there’s been talk of monsters getting bolder lately.” Rika nodded, looking towards the edge of the farm, where the forest began to loom. “I will, mother, I know how to avoid the monsters around the area.”
