Love Me The Same – Chelsea Isabella

He found them a second later and proceeded to unlock the door in front of them. Eve tried to pry out of his hold since she already knew who would be waiting on the other side. The last thing she needed was to look like a scheming villainess carried so blatantly by the male lead himself—it could lead to all sorts of problems. “Let me go,” she hissed under her breath, giving another futile twist. The door swung opened and Yohan glanced down at her with a questioning look.
“Don’t worry, I can walk,” she insisted quickly. “With those knees? Of course you can,” he replied dryly and scooped her up in his arms once more, walking through the open door. Eve shut her eyes tight, bracing herself for the worst. Please forgive me, miss female lead. Expecting a scream, Eve tensed her body—but the apartment remained silent.
Tentatively, she opened her eyes. All the lights were off and with the back of his hand, Yohan turned on some illumination just enough for her to make out the outline of a spacious living room in front of them. He didn’t stop though. Instead, he walked towards his right and down a corridor, turning a corner before stopping at a large door at the end.
Everything was extremely dark and Eve’s eyes struggled to adjust. Somewhere along the way, she thought she had glimpsed what looked like an ample TV room, but the dim lighting made it hard to be sure. Her pulse quickened. Where exactly is he taking me? Yohan walked into a room and turned the light on, revealing a large king sized bed to the right.
In front of the bed and the door, large windows offered a beautiful view of the city beyond. There was another door on the wall to the left which seemed to lead to a walk-in closet and the bathroom. By Eve’s standards, the room was huge and she couldn’t help but feel a bit dwarfed by it. He placed her down on the bed and moved into the bathroom, coming out with a small first aid kit in his hand almost instantly.
Kneeling in front of her, he opened the box and took out a bottle of antiseptic along with some cotton. “Yohan, there really isn’t—” “I’m going to clean this first,” he interrupted in an authoritative voice, “then you’re going to take a hot shower and get out of those wet clothes. We’ll bandage your wounds after that.” “You really shouldn’t…”

❤ That’s all ❤ Enjoy and happy reading! OceanofPDF.com Isekai Rule No.1: Do not fall in love with the male lead OceanofPDF.com H PROLOGUE AVE YOU EVER wished you could live inside your favorite book? Sasha certainly had. Romance fantasies were her bread and butter. Fated mates, magic, dragons, and love stories so great they could topple the empires. Reality, however, felt pale and hollow in comparison. A monotonous cycle of work, work, and more work.
Thus, Sasha drowned herself in romantasy novels, the only refuge from the grind of corporate slavery. But when her colleague begged her to read Black Opium—a viral dark romance novel, she gave it a shot even if it wasn’t her genre. She made it through a few chapters, but the lack of fantasy had her flipping through pages instead of reading. Feeling bored, Sasha snapped the book shut, heart longing for the impossible.
If there is another life, please let me be reborn into a book. As if on cue, the lamp flickered. The book she had tossed aside began to rattle violently. Its pages flipped open as letters bled free from the papers and coiled around her wrist. “Help!” Sasha clawed at the edge of her desk as the rope-like light yanked her forward. Her grip slipped when a stronger force pulled her into the book.
And the last thing she saw before being swallowed whole was a sheet of endless black ink. ✽✽✽ Eve jolted awake as her forehead smacked against the counter she had been dozing on. “Ouch!” she winced, rubbing the sore spot, only to freeze as sequences of scenes rushed through her mind.
