March 14 to June 14 A(GAP)E – mesmerized by some / thing (a reflection 2016–26) by Aleks Danko – presents a decade of Danko’s sharp, darkly funny and incisive practice, bringing together sculpture, performance, installation and text to explore how art is made, encountered and understood. Installed in dialogue with McClelland’s modernist architecture, the exhibition highlights Danko’s enduring interest in the absurdities of contemporary life.

Active since the late 1960s, he brings a seasoned yet freshly provocative eye to the legacies of conceptualism, inviting visitors to complete each work through their own memories, moods and perceptions, and transforming the gallery into an intuitive and participatory experience.
