Ashes To Obsession – S Frances (1)

I reduce the speed once more, wondering what he’s doing. “Keep going.” He whispers, leaning low to speak into my ear. His breath tickles the hairs on my nape, the rest of the strands held back in a ponytail. I do as he instructs, now hyper alert, fingers pressing into the clay before me, wishing it was something else I had in the palm of my hand. I hear the sound of material moving and wonder what he’s doing behind me but I don’t dare turn around. Zach’s hands touch my outer arms, startling me slightly and I flinch at the contact, looking down to see he’s rolled up his shirt sleeves, corded forearms on display just for me.
He runs them gently down my forearms, leaving goosebumps in his wake. God, what this man does to me is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. I suck in a breath when his direction shifts and he detours to the waistband of my jeans, fingers slipping under the hem of my tee. I’m barely concentrating on the clay before me as his deft fingers work to undo the top button of my jeans.
Once done, he slowly, so slowly, slides the zipper down and trails his hand down my lower abdomen until he finds the band of my panties. I’m already coming completely undone and he hasn’t even touched me there yet. The anticipation is killing me though. With his other hand he gently clasps my neck to keep my upper body plastered against him, his fingers confidently slipping inside my panties as he swipes one long finger through my slit. I let out a wanton moan at the contact and I don’t even care how loud it is, he’s got me coiled like a spring, ready to pop off.
I try to spread my knees for him but that moves my foot from the pedal and he tsks, removing his fingers, “Ah, ah.. you stop, I stop.” So, that’s his play. Torture.
Josette has had darkness looming over her since high school, ghosts from the past that haunted her and people she could no longer look in the eye. To this day, she has no recollection how she survived the fire, but moving to New Orleans meant a chance to start fresh. Life revolved around working and college, creating the next masterpiece, with little time for anything else. But things could never stay that simple. One day she realises someone has been watching her.
At work, at college, at home.. and when the texts start, she realises they’re not going away. Where most people would feel threatened, hunted even, knowing someone has access to not just their life but their home, Josie feels anything but. She knows she should call the cops but there’s a big part of her that wants them to get closer, because something in the thrill of it all reminds her she’s alive.
