That’s what’s up.” Dolph cranked the music and sparked up a blunt. I cracked the window as he said, “I figured we need to talk and you could rest for the day. You know my birthday party is still this Saturday. You gon’ be good, right?” I ignored his comments about his party. I didn’t give a fuck about his birthday. I turned twenty-one a few weeks back and to celebrate, Dolph took me out. First, he took me to pass my road test then we went shopping and he bought me a fat ass “promise” ring.

Later, we went to a nice steak dinner restaurant on the waterfront by Seaport. Everything was going nice and smooth and I should have known some fuck shit was up. Sure enough, when we got home, he had our bedroom all set up with chocolate covered fruit, rose petals, champagne, lit vanilla scented candles and throwback R&B music was playing.

The shit was nice and I was faded, letting Dolph pour my drinks all night. To this day, I don’t recall letting this muthafucka tie me up, but I did. That night, he let some random nigga pay him five racks to fuck me, talking about he needed a quick flip. I was kicking and screaming the whole seven minutes of hell that fat nigga pumped around. The second he was done and out the room, Dolph unleashed the handcuffs and I was ready for war. I started smacking and punching him, cussing his ass out.

No other words could describe how I felt besides cheap and dirty. He ended up getting the best of me and I was knocked out for a whole day. I woke up to a busted lip and a set of keys to the brand new Porsche that I fucked up the other day. Most bitches would have been ecstatic for a new whip. And while I loved the car, I wasn’t too happy with getting the car as a makeup gift for the disrespect he put me through.

Glancing out the window, I asked, “Talk about what?” I shrugged my shoulders. “It’s always the same ol’ shit with you, Dolph. If you’re not gonna treat me the way I deserve, just let me go and leave me the hell alone,” I spoke dryly. “What? Ayo, cut your shit. You know I love you, right?” Laughing, I told him, “No, I don’t know. I know you love the fact that I’m here with you, that’s all. Love don’t hurt, Dolph, and you always hurt me. Look at me.”

I sadly shook my head. “Maaannn, please kill the theatrics.”

When I started my journey as an author back in 2017, I didn’t know much about the literary world. I just knew I loved to read and write and I wanted to share my talent with the world. S/O to my former publisher but always my friend, Chyna L., for giving me the opportunity to shine as Ambitious Ink Presents’ first author! Since then, I’ve written 9 books…9!!!

Series and standalones. It may not seem like much to some but it’s A LOT to me. I juggle mommy life, working full time plus battling depression and anxiety. It’s not easy but I get the job done. I’ve read, I’ve watched, I’ve listened, I’ve learned and I’ve grown so much in these last two and a half years.

Much love to EVERYBODY who has pushed me to make this move independently. I can’t wait to take my talents to the next level. Of course, to all my DAY 1 readers (you know who you are! *Drake voice*) as well as new ones looking for some DOPE new reads …

THEY’RE COMING! SORRY FOR THE WAIT! In an industry where new authors pop up every day, I greatly appreciate the continued support! TRUST ME, I’M WORKING and rebranding as well. I can only hope y’all still rock with me and my books in 2020 and beyond! Enjoy this DOPE read and please be sure to leave a review! xoxo Tash. 1kitap1.com/en Synopsis Have you ever looked alive but on the inside, you were slowly dying? Yeah, me either.
