Bloodroot In Bloom – Penn Mucching

Over and over, he toys with me, each flick of his tongue a new kind of torture. The hum of the plane’s engines beneath us only amplifies the sensations —the vibrations traveling up through the mattress to meet the heat of his mouth. I’m going insane. “Fuck,” I whisper, the word slipping past my lips before I can catch it. Dig’s thumb presses gently against my jaw, guiding my face toward him until his mouth claims me, too.
He tastes just like my fruity cocktail, and I figure he must have downed another one before he followed Snake and I to this bedroom. He tastes so good. Irvin’s hand tightens on my belly, his palm warm against my trembling skin. His other hand slides lower, ghosting over my inner thigh, just where Snake’s mouth is wreaking havoc. “Blondie, get your ass over here,” he calls out to Aaron.
Before I know it the two of them switch, Aaron lying down on my left, while Irvin stands up and unbuckles his belt. My head spins. I never thought I’d have even one man this into me, let alone four. Right now, I don’t feel like Lorelei, the sister of a street gang leader and the kidnapped grandchild of Margaret Coldwell. I feel like a damn queen, with the whole world at my feet. I want to scream it out for everyone to hear.
These four men are mine, and I’m theirs. But I can’t keep up, can’t think, can’t do anything but feel as Snake’s mouth brings me closer and closer to the edge. His tongue knows me better than I know myself, hitting every spot that makes me shiver, building a rhythm that has my thighs shaking.
“Xavier,” I gasp, barely able to whisper. “Please…” I can’t even get the words out before Dig swallows them. He nips at my lips, sucks at my tongue, and explores my mouth like it’s his first time. There’s that same hunger in him as when Irvin pushed him to fuck me all those days ago. It’s like he hasn’t changed, like he’s never had enough of me since then. Actually, if anything, he’s only gotten bolder and needier. Diggy’s become a desperate man. Snake’s eyes snap to mine.
“Please, what, Lorelei?” “Don’t stop,” I beg, my fingers threading into his hair, pulling him closer. “Gods, Xavier, don’t you dare stop.” I don’t care that the others hear his real name anymore, and neither does he. I’m screaming it so loud I bet even the pilots can hear me. Snake chuckles against me, sending a shiver through my body, and then he pushes even harder.

There’s no escaping that look, no room to dodge the questions I’ve been running from. Not with him staring at me like I owe him every dirty secret I’ve ever buried. He doesn’t know half of what went down after the attack on the mansion. And fuck, if he did… It’s not just the secrets that would wreck him. It’s explaining them. Explaining us. But I have to do this. It just has to be done. “Your brothers and I, we…” I begin. “It’s not the same anymore.”
“What do you mean?” What do I mean? Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. How do I explain something that barely makes sense to me? How do I get someone to see all the messy shades of gray when they’re only looking for black and white? Because Aaron must be looking for black and white. I see it in his stare. I open my mouth, but the words tangle and fall apart.
How the hell do I do this…? “It’s just…” I trail off, clutching for something, anything that won’t shatter the fragile space between us. He deserves an answer, doesn’t he? Something to make it right. But the truth? The truth is messy. Desiring more than one person—it shouldn’t feel like a betrayal.
Irvin showed me that. Showed me how different people can fill different corners of your soul, how love doesn’t have to fit into neat little boxes. But trying to explain that to Aaron, to justify it, feels impossible. He nearly died for me. I don’t want to make him regret that. He did that for a girl that was kidnapped and locked in his mansion, the girl that had no choice but to withstand what he and his brothers threw at her.
I’m not that girl anymore. Would he do the same if he knew who I really am now? I lick my lips. Then, I swallow. Hard. His gaze doesn’t waver. If anything, his stare hardens with each passing second. I have to give him something. And what’s better to give than the truth? “It’s complicated,” I manage. He doesn’t miss a beat. “That’s not an answer.” His hands grip the bedframe as if he could force himself upright by sheer will. “What aren’t you telling me, Street Girl?
Did they hurt you? Did they—“ Oh God.
