Bound By Desire – Melissa Dunne

Her eyes itched—she longed to close them but couldn’t. The darkness seemed to beckon her, urging her to let go and sleep. It scared her. It would be so easy to let her eyes slip shut and disappear into a dream. Maybe she could go back to David and Hope? Anna twisted, getting her head off the pillow.
She needed discomfort. Maybe that could keep her awake? She swallowed, mouth dry. How long had it been? It felt like hours but how could she tell? Down here, there was nothing, just the sound of her own heartbeat thundering in her chest and she strained to hear anything beyond that noise. Her spanked ass throbbed in time with her heartbeat. The pain had definitely eased now, and, to her surprise and repulsion, it’d had replaced by a low hum of pleasure.
She enjoyed the feeling—definitely not the pain itself, but the helplessness of being over his knee definitely did something for her. Anna reminded herself that she needed to see a therapist when she got out of this. No normal person should feel even a flicker of anything good after all of this. But that thought opened the door to other thoughts—more unwelcome ones. As she lay in the darkness, anxious about any small noise, his voice echoed in her head.
‘You need me.’ Was that just the insane ramblings of a crazy guy? A part of her wanted to believe that, but it seemed too easy. Richard certainly never seemed insane in the office. So, if he wasn’t insane, then who was he to her? He had to be someone, right? There had to be some significance to all this outside of her being an easy target. Anna shuddered. And if there was no significance, surely he would have assaulted her by now?

This series is intended to be realistic so characters won’t fall in love in a moment. Therefore, there is a slow burn and a lot of back and forth between the two characters. This story deals with captivity, trauma, and power imbalance. The emotional development is intentionally non-linear—with moments of resistance, regression, compliance, and inner conflict.
This is a reflection of her evolving psychology and the grim realism of surviving long-term control. This story explores the blurred lines between desire and control, loneliness and obsession. But I do not intend to romanticise non-consent, nor does it promise a traditional romance or redemption arc. Characters behave in disturbing, deluded, and morally complex ways. Their actions are not justified, excused, or softened for comfort.
If you are looking for a consensual dark romance with clear redemption and mutual trust, please know: this is not that story. Bound By Desire is about emotional captivity, trauma, and the complex ways people can both crave and fear connection. Reader discretion is strongly advised. Trigger warnings – Kidnapping Coercion Non-consensual restraint Emotional manipulation Trauma responses Scenes of fear, helplessness and unwanted arousal 1kitap1.com/en Chapter One Thank God, it was Friday.
For once, Anna had the weekend off. No gig work, no side hustles— just her, a blanket and a guilty pleasure TV binge. Granted, it wasn’t good TV. She couldn’t afford Netflix and her housemate, Stacey, who did have an account, refused to share. So she settled for Tubi.
