“Thank you, that was… wow.” Then he hides his face with his forearm. “Same. Watching you come was the hottest thing I’ve ever experienced. You’re so beautiful when you come. I’ll go and grab a washcloth, or do you want to take a shower?” “A washcloth sounds good. Thanks.” Once more, I capture his lips with mine, and I love how he smiles at me shyly. As quietly as possible, I sneak into the bathroom and feel a childish sense of joy that no one saw me.

At least until I spot Jannis standing in front of his bedroom door on my way back. I deserve that smug grin, he’s had to see the same from me often enough. “Damn, how long have I been waiting for this moment.” “How loud were we?” “You weren’t, but Noah really went wild.” Now I can’t help but grin, because yes, he really did, but that doesn’t necessarily have to be common knowledge among my whole family. “Can you please keep that to yourself and not blab about it at breakfast tomorrow morning?

Please?” “Why should I?” He looks at me defiantly. “Not for me, for Noah…” “Oh, I see.” He smiles knowingly at me. “That was his first… What was it? A handjob?” “That’s none of your business.” “So a handjob. Obviously he had fun. Be nice to him. We want to keep him.” My expression turns serious as I nod. I want that too. “Hey, are you still awake?” Noah is lying on his back as I slip through the door. His eyes are closed, his breathing is deep and steady, his glasses still on his nose.

No reaction. Carefully, I wash away the biggest splatters of cum, the ones that will be grossly stuck to his skin tomorrow, but Noah doesn’t even flinch. I prepare my aroma lamp, place Noah’s glasses on my nightstand, and pull his slender, naked body close to mine. He feels so good in my arms.

It’s crazy. Those of you who’ve read my books know that my stories always come with music. There’s always that one song that brings the story to life in my head. This time it was “Would Anyone Care” by Citizen Soldier. Anyone who hears this song understands the message immediately: Would anyone care if I were gone tomorrow? Writing this book was a difficult journey, navigating a world full of self- doubt, abysmal loneliness, and fear—and yet also a world where, after a long period of darkness, the sun rises again and is allowed to shine brightly.

A world full of trust, hope, and courage. I know that many of you have grown very fond of Luca after the first two books, and I’m excited to show you another side of him here. You’ll learn more about his world, his reality, and with it, the realization that what we see isn’t always what the person is actually feeling. This book deals with difficult topics, which I hope I have handled with the necessary sensitivity.
