Crystal Palace’s Oliver Glasner Palace boss in six-month driving ban CRYSTAL Palace manager Oliver Glasner has been banned from driving for speeding in a 20mph zone. The FA Cup-winning boss, 51, was disqualifi ed for six months. He pleaded guilty to doing 9mph above the limit in his BMW in South East London, last July.
Past driving offences put the Austrian in line for an automatic ban. He wrote to Willesden magistrates court, saying: “I fully accept responsibility for my actions and understand the seriousness of this matter. I have taken steps to ensure it will not happen again.” He must also pay a £660 fi ne, £130 costs and a £264 victim surcharge. GREGGS fans will soon be able to buy the bakery’s sausage rolls and other snacks from vending machines. Bosses at the chain say they are looking at launching “un- attended retail solutions”.
Richard Hutton, chief fi nan- cial offi cer for Greggs, said this would include both automated and manual vending machines. No date or locations have yet been revealed. The update comes following the successful launch of three smaller format Greggs Bitesize shops. This week, Greggs reported that pre-tax profi ts fell by 17.9% to £167.4million for the year to December 27.
It blamed the drop partly on tough market conditions and a “spell of particularly hot weather”. Greggs had 121 net store openings in 2025, expanding its estate to 2,739 locations. It is planning around 120 more this year as part of long- term plans to have over 3,000 UK shops.
Last month, Greggs revealed that no further price rises are planned this year – after just upping the cost of a sausage roll again. The snack, its best-selling item, recently rose by another 5p to £1.35 in most stores. Plan comes after mini shop launch yimbly.com/Offer115 Offer ends 4th April Quote Offer115 Offers subject to availability. Terms and Conditions apply. Free Delivery over £50.
