Immediately, exhaustion barrels into me. How long have I been using it? Half an hour? An hour? It’s been a while. I shiver, and Bella looks at me with worry. I close my eyes and focus, feeling the sparks rush to my head as I use the sense enhancement.

My spine aches, but it’s not too bad. Strangely, when I focus on limiting to 25%, it works perfectly. What changed? I file it away for later. I’ve got more important things to think about. The sparks ignite behind my eyes, flooding my senses. Suddenly, I can see everything. The way her pupils dilate when she looks at me. Bella realizes what I’m doing with a soft inhale and smiles. I want to see this the way she does, to know her world.

I can smell the musk of her womanhood, mixed with my smell and the scent of cinnamon. Taste the sweat from her skin as I pepper her shoulder with kisses, and the flavor of her essence when she kisses me in response. I feel her heat, her tightness and slickness, all wrapped around me in a wonderful embrace I never want to leave.

The mixture we created overflows from her slit, dripping down our thighs to tickle. Most of all, I hear her. Her heartbeat is fast, and mine is in sync with it. I hug her close, pressing my chest to her bare back so that she can feel mine too. She coos, rubbing my forearms.

Gently, I slip out of her. She turns around, pressing a hand to my chest as she slowly pushes me down onto the couch. Draping her body over mine sensually, she presses a soft kiss against my cheek. “Was that alright?” she asks, a hint of nervousness to her tone. I hug her close, her breasts mashed against my sternum, and smile at her. “Yeah, Red. That was amazing. Thank you.” “I…” she stutters, biting her lip. “Arthur, I really care about ya’.

I didn’t do this just to distract you. I’ve wanted it for… gosh, months now.” “I know, baby,” I say softly, leaning down to kiss her forehead. She smiles at me, eyes back to green now. “I believe you. I’ve wanted it too. And I’m glad we did. I… I need you in my life, Bella.

I don’t really know what feelings I have for you, but I know I can’t live without you. Thank you for staying. Thank you for letting me share this with you.” She hums, “Thank you for askin’ me to stay, handsome. And…” She purses her lips in thought.

Thank you. — Silas Sinclair OceanofPDF.com T CHAPTER ONE STORM’S WRATH he storm hides our approach. Covering the sound of our footsteps echoing across the cold stone, the wind howls against our backs to push us forward. We stick to the corners and shadows, out of sight of the sentries patrolling across the roofs of the warehouses. A shadow crosses in front of me, and a gloved hand grabs my arm.

Lucy tugs me to the side and presses our backs against the side of the building, her eyes burning orange in the dark. She gives me a nod and points upward. Across the narrow path and atop the next warehouse, a sentry moves slowly and scans the area. Black body armor and boots adorn him, soaked from the downpour. The glint of the hydrogenRifle in his hand catches my eye, the long weapon humming and alight with red energy. He turns, wearing the telltale mask of the Sons of Medusa.

Sleek, white, and angled like an owl’s face, with two diagonal holes for the eyes. Below an earpiece, the serpent tattoo sits on his neck. A low-level thug. Not who we’re after. But still dangerous. In the sky above, the storm clouds shift slightly. Strong gusts belt us, and a ray of moonlight shines down, reflecting off Lucy’s white mask. In the dark, it’s basically a torch.

Her eyes widen as the sentry stops. Gritting my teeth, I quickly shift in front of her with my back to the thug. The black body armor they have me in is uncomfortable, covering me from neck to shoes with a filtration mask hanging around my neck.

Itchy, but perfect for stealth. I still my movements and calm my breathing. Inhale. Inhale. Hold. Exhale. Lucy’s eyes watch me, our faces inches apart.
