Dez is frowning in confusion, so Taido’sn waves his hands and brings up a picture of a dolomit’n. I’d completely forgotten about their race. IX is correct to say they’re rare. The species has skin that looks like a gray, grainy sand stone. The skin is nearly as hard as stone, too, and deflects most kinds of radiation, making them difficult to scan.

Their species rarely leave their world, and although intelligent, they don’t tend to use much technology. Most who do leave their planet are hired thugs. It’s not a bad way to prevent unwanted attention. Their flat faces and lack of nose are also simple to mimic. Dez doesn’t look very impressed. “Not very attractive.” Taido’sn chuckles. “No, they are not. However, I do not believe that IX is overly concerned with attracting a mate, so this skin will serve him well enough.”

She shrugs. “What about all the eyes?” Taido’sn brings up the diagram of the droid where the image of the dolomit’n had been.
