“If you keep this up, I’m going to become a walking treasury. I don’t even want to know how much all of this is worth.” “At least nobody will know what they can do unless you tell them. If it’s OK with you, I was going to make myself a new set of leather armor now. I found some designs at the armor shop that I think will work. I just need to tweak them to fit me.”

“Of course, please continue.” She just smiles as she stares at the rings some more. I put everything back in storage and take out some of the bear leather and some linen cloth. There’s a little iron left, which I’ll need for the straps and buckles. I flip through my book to find the armor set I like the most.

Focusing on that set, but with my body measurements, the crafting begins. It takes a few minutes to craft all the pieces, but now I have a new set of armor laying on the floor. I pick up the pieces and examine them closely, and they look exactly like the ones in the store, just made of a different type of leather. Amelia helps me put it on and, surprisingly, it fits right the first time.

I expected that something would have been off. “That looks great on you!” she says. “Can you move around easily?” I do various movements and actions to test it out, and it appears to work fine. “It feels like it should work fine for what I’m doing.

I’ll have to think about what enchantments I want to put on the gear, but I can do that later.” After I take the armor off and put everything back in storage, we head back upstairs. “All the crafting and enchanting has tired me out a bit. Do you mind if I go lay down for a nap and recover?”

“Not at all. However, may I request to join you? I’m also still a little tired after last night,” she says while blushing. I take her hand and we head upstairs together. We climb into bed and doze off for a little nap. OceanofPDF.com Chapter 12 he maid comes to let me know lunch is ready. I gently wake Amelia up so we can head downstairs. She looks at me with a big smile as we get out of bed and head downstairs to the dining room.

This has become too much of a normal routine as of late. The streets are lit up by the countless billboards and office buildings that line the city blocks.

The sounds of annoyed drivers honking their horns and people having conversations as they pass by on the sidewalk echo around me. Everywhere I look, I can see hundreds of people making their way down the crowded sidewalks on their way to the bars and restaurants nearby. Nobody pays attention to anyone around them as they go about their evening, chatting with their companions or staring at their phones.

I just want to get home and load up my game so I can unwind by spending the evening crafting. It feels like these long days will never end. This damn client can’t make up their mind and keeps changing their requirements and specifications for the software. Of course, they still expect us to finish by the original deadline. As if that’s going to happen.

This entire project will never finish the way things are going and somehow it’s going to be our fault in the end. I want this project to be over so I can go back to a normal schedule again. While I’m continuing my mindless walk to the subway as if on auto- pilot, the air fills with the sounds of nearby cars slamming on their brakes as they come to a screeching halt. Some crashing into each other, while others ending up on the sidewalk.
