Hunter explains. “That’s going to be a difficult place to start.” Taj whispers. “Do you know the area?” Dylan asks, there’s skepticism in his voice. “Yes, Alpha, very well. I found my mate there, but the terrain is treacherous. There’s a lot of dangers there that we have to look out for.” Taj says, and a growl vibrates through my chest. “Really?” Dylan asks again, this time his voice is a little too shaky for my liking.

“What kind of dangers?” “I know we encountered feline shifters there when you sent us to scout,” Gabriel says. “And large pack of rogues, a horde of pixies, and a moody bunch of centaurs.” Hunter says, I can almost see the dramatic way he shivers when disgusted. Taj hums, seeming to agree. “Not to mention, human hunters frequent that area. And the other silver river packs that surround it won’t be happy about our presence there.” “Oh, that’s right.” Cassius quickly agrees.

“We almost found ourselves in the middle of a war on our way here.” I huff. Dylan is getting spanked for this one. There’s nothing he can do to stop it. He’s getting punished. “Well, since you all know the area better than I do, I’ll trust that you’ll get us through as safely as you can,” Dylan reassures. “Gabe and Taj, you two can lead the way. Hunter and Cassius, I want you two to make sure we have everything we need if we do have to defend ourselves.”

My ears perk up when I hear chairs slide across the hardwood floors. “Let’s get some sleep. We’ve got a big day tomorrow.” Hearing that, my eyes widen and I pull away from the door to rush back to Dylan’s room the fastest my feet can take me. I practically dive onto the bed after shutting the door, doing my best to make it seem like I’m still sleeping.

I am so blessed beyond measure to be here today and it’s all because of his many blessings and grace in my life. Come on God, you’ve been showing out. To all my MM romance lovers, keep shaking all that ass boo.

You are the bomb went off. To all of my friends and family who listened endlessly about these characters, endured so many texts and phone calls about them, who gave advice, gave opinions on covers, names and scenes, I love you and appreciate you all so very much. To my readers who started with me back in 2017, my readers who found this book back in 2022 when it first started, the readers who have subscribed, gave advice and commented while this story was still being written, and the future readers who will fall in love with Dylan, Raiden and everyone their love story introduces you to, thank you so much!

And a HUGE thank you to two of my fabulously gay friends – who insist on being introduced like that – Brian and Trey, who edited ALL of my smut and made sure it’s as jaw dropping, deliciously juicy and gush inducing as possible. We all appreciate you two! My greatest compliment I’ve ever gotten from you two while reading a smutty scene was “Bitch, you outdid yourself. This the one. No editing needed.
