Hood Misfit – Aisha Bushra

Stopping at my orchids, I decided to remove a few to give to Henny, Cardi, and Stella Rose. Making an effort to always show them how a man should treat them, I would oftentimes lay money and flowers on their dresser beside them before they woke up. It brought me a heart full of light to do this for them, so I made it our thing.
After I picked what I needed and left the room, I headed to each of their rooms to leave some, and opted to put Henny’s in a vase on the kitchen counter for her to see later. Walking past her room I could still hear her in class, and I didn’t want to interrupt.
With that squared away, I walked out the door with my phone in my hand. Walking down our long driveway, I opened the mailbox and retrieved the big stack of mail. Shuffling through it to see I had received mail from Nette which was very odd. I kept money on her books, but we all agreed we would never go and visit her in that hell hole.
No matter who your mother was prior to prison, as a child, you should never see her as a caged animal. Putting the letter to the end of the stack, I continued to shuffle through as I walked to the corner. There was only about eight minutes until their bus pulled up, so I used that time to check out some investments I had secured a few years ago. I made it a point to have multiple streams of income and not all of them being illegal because it would come a time that I would settle down and walk away from all this shit, and I wanted to be able to maintain my lifetime through whatever season.
Once I confirmed they were doing well I clicked off the app. Before I could store my phone, I heard a beep followed by the sweetest voice I had ever heard. “Don’t tell me you’re looking to make a few bucks too?” she jokingly said. That’s when I realized it was a stab at me standing on the corner. “I ain’t no corner boy, ma’am” “Could’ve fooled me” I laughed from the pit of my stomach and the smile that reached her eyes made my heartbeat speed up.
This woman was simply ravishing. “What happened to you?” Thyri sounded genuinely concerned for my safety, which I thought was cute. “Just a little slip and fall baby. Don’t worry ‘bout me.” Watching her, I saw the moment it registered I had called her baby. She quickly recovered and said, “Just a slip and fall? You’re stubborn and insufferable” she teased.

OceanofPDF.com Author Notes This book has been a long time coming. I brought the cover over a year ago but I didn’t want to touch it until I felt like I could capture all the emotions that was void in Wilde’s icy blue eyes. If you’re a day one you know I’ve been teasing this book, and the cover since the middle of 2024 along with the characters names.
Hennecy will be a familiar character because she was the bottle girl in Drench Me Baby the erotica. Ya’ll blew me up looking for more of Arnaz “AR” Williamson never knowing he been spoke to me while I was writing Drench Me. You will get a update on K’wality and Azuri inside as well. But we have made it to the finish line. Let’s celebrate together. I was speaking to an ARC reader and I shared with her that I didn’t know how to feel that my writing JUST now seemed to elevate to a place where I felt I was giving my ideas and storylines their just do.
Now I say to you, with her encouragement I feel amazing about it. Yes, it took me ten books but it happened in Allah’s timing not mine. Alhamdulillah, If you’re a day one I appreciate you for sticking by me if your new here buckle up! This book is dedicated to P. Wise, Deyonna, and all the member of Pretti Mods.
