With 170 rooms and 25 long-stay residences, the site’s redevelopment as the Standard Lisbon in the Palácio Santa Clara complex def ly mixes heritage elements with contemporary ones like a roof op bar and terrace, a handpainted mural from local artist Madi, and colorful interiors. Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena Colombia Design: WATG, François Catroux, Wimberly Interiors, and AvroKO (F&B) What we’re looking forward to: Cartagena’s artsy Getsemani neighborhood will be home to the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences this spring.
Uniting restored heritage buildings, including a 16th-century church, Beaux Arts social hub, and quartet of theaters, the 131-key property invites gathering in eight F&B venues. At UMARI Spa, meanwhile, guests take in views of the ancient walled city. Cambridge Common House Massachusetts Design: Elder & Ash What we’re looking forward to: Steps from Harvard University, the Cambridge Common House was originally built as a private home, and is still distinguished by a quiet, residential atmosphere. Working fi replaces, multifunctional bookcase headboards, and large-scale wallpapers, for instance, grace some of the 16 guestrooms; others incorporate sunken private patios.
The built-in alcove bed in the Poet Micro Queen is a practical yet stylish space-saving solution. 062 January 2026 hospitalitydesign.com 2026 hot list Eha Retreat Hiiumaa Island, Estonia Design: Tiit Trummal, Studio ARGUS, UNT+CO, and Vaikla Studio What we’re looking forward to: Estonia uniquely has fi ve seasons, a phenomenon celebrated through Eha Retreat’s series of distinct, all-inclusive fi ve-night programs centered on either renewal, abundance, refl ection, stillness, or awakening.

White Elephant Aspen Colorado Design: Embarc What we’re looking forward to: Like its sister hotels in Nantucket and Palm Beach, White Elephant Aspen is classy yet relaxed, a departure from the resort town’s cabin-style accommodations. Informed by the hotel’s Rocky Mountains set ing, the 54 alpine guestrooms juxtapose grounding hues of warm white and cognac with original artwork and embossed leather headboards.
The action unfurls in White Elephant’s signature Lola 41 restaurant, a glass-enclosed escape with a speakeasy. hospitalitydesign.com January 2026 063 Villa Timeo Taormina, Italy Design: Laura Gonzalez What we’re looking forward to: Grand Hotel Timeo, A Belmond Hotel, has captivated luminaries since 1873.
