Henry would need to get that pylon system made sooner rather than later if he wanted traffic…but maybe traffic wasn’t so good right now. They were still just getting started and the port had little to offer the world. If visitors regularly made it to the island and found there wasn’t even a shop for sundries…word might get out about Havenport being insufficient.

Henry pushed the thoughts of competition out of his head and focused. He had been in the jungle for a few hours and that meant work on the Job Board had long been finished. Construction on the Shipyard was already underway. Three days and it would be done. But maybe the Jobs section would allow him to find a way to speed up construction.

Jobs You have unlocked the Jobs Section! Your Workforces can now be customized! Career Paths have been unlocked! When an untrained Workforce receives a Level, you may assign them to a career path. These paths provide Keywords and Powers that develop with each additional level. After a Workforce has been given a career, you may then assign them to Jobs.

A Job is a reoccurring operation that requires long-term commitment. Once assigned to a Job, a Workforce cannot be reassigned without the right policies. Construction: Establishes a dedicated Construction Crew that automatically accepts projects as they are ordered. Maintenance: Creates a Maintenance Crew that reduces the cost of maintenance on the island. There were only three options available right now but they were all locked because Henry’s workforce had no levels just yet. He could solve that problem with using the Chymera he had obtained from that Koreen Krate… Hmm.

For Henry Folsom, death arrived on a cold November morning as he was opening up the hardware store he had worked at for the last five years. A crate, poorly positioned atop a shelf and not where it was supposed to be, chose the precise moment that the young man was underneath to fall.

It could have dropped at any time, it could have hit anyone but it seemed that death had chosen Henry to exit early. The last thing he remembered was the painful sensation of wood striking his skull, a shattering and then utter darkness. His last thoughts were ‘finally’. Not that the man had suicidal tendencies. But having gotten trapped in the dead end career of working at the hardware store, Henry had often wished for such an accident. Something to get an insurance payout that would allow him to retire comfortably.

When he awoke next, Henry Folsom was not in the hospital. There were no ambulance chasing lawyers to greet him with paperwork and an attack plan. No sympathetic bosses offering vacation time and sick pay. There was just an endless void of shadow. “Well…great,” Henry said. “The one time there’s an accident at the workplace and it kills instead of maims me.”

This was death, he knew. Floating in a void of darkness, Henry was dead as a doornail. His only consolation was that this happened on a Monday, so at least he had his weekend to enjoy. As Henry floated, there was a shift ahead. The darkness parted ways and an enormous woman appeared. She had two faces and six arms positioned in every which way. One hand held a scepter, the other a scroll, a lantern, a staff and an orb.

She was colossal, with a dispassionate expression upon both faces. She wore a dress of rainbow light and each motion she made caused the world around her to swirl with color. “Henry Folsom,” the mighty woman boomed, her voice echoing throughout the endless realm of shadow. “You have died.” “I could guess as much,’ Henry replied. “Are you the judge?” “I am Kosma,” she replied. “An arbiter of fate.

You have died but within your soul there is a spark of energy that has yet to be tapped. Desires unfilled. Dreams unmaterialized.
