The only thing worse than me singing in public, is me dancing in public. And so drunk I don\u2019t remember it. \u201cTheo,\u201d I whisper. \u201cI don\u2019t remember dancing at all.\u201d Theo stifles a laugh. \u201cCate -\u201d \u201cI can\u2019t show my face on this island ever again.\u201d The last time I went dancing was right after Derek broke up with me.<\/p>\n<p>Eve and Tommy insisted on me ditching the Cheeto stained pajamas I had been in for three days straight and go out with them. What started as us simply having dinner and drinks turned into us at a club dancing until two in the morning. And not just dancing. He must have the wrong Cate. His green eyes are dancing, and slightly panicked if I am picking up on his vibe right. He sits across from me, his knees knocking against the legs of the table we are apparently now sharing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere you are!\u201d He reclines in his chair, swiping a few rebellious strands of black hair out of his tan face. I look over my shoulder before setting my book on the table, my finger still holding my place. \u201cI\u2019m sorry, do we know each other?\u201d \u201cHere\u2019s the thing, Cate,\u201d he leans forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMay I call you Cate?\u201d \u201cUh\u2026\u201d \u201cGreat!\u201d He pats the top of my hand and quickly continues before I can respond. \u201cThe thing is, Cate, I told my brother I couldn\u2019t grab lunch with him today because I was out with my girlfriend.
