I ask. \u2018Possibly not at the time, but I think in retrospect it was pretty clear that I was using sex to medicate and to feel connected and to deal with that yearning and longing, so yeah, in fact I start to think that the object of the addiction becomes less and less relevant.\u2019 So does he think \u2013 married now with a baby and a big fluffy dog \u2013 that sex addiction still threatens him?<\/p>\n

He pauses. \u2018It\u2019s really challenging. I don\u2019t just think, Oh no I\u2019m a rampant sex addict, how will I stay in a monogamous relationship?<\/p>\n
