That is still true with this book, but let\u2019s be honest, this is the ninth novel out of ten, and I imagine that reading it first would be like watching the penultimate Star Wars film before seeing any of the others. You\u2019ll still enjoy all the quirky characters and get the main plot, but I\u2019ve no doubt that you\u2019ll find yourself asking, \u201cWait, what\u2019s an Ewok?\u201d<\/p>\n

at some point before the end. Though it offers a spoiler-free, self-contained mystery to thrill and delight you, this book has a lot (too many?) call-back jokes and references to the rest of the series. But if you absolutely love books about high school reunions and think this is just your cup of tea, then go for it. Oh, and by the way, no, there are no Ewoks in this book.<\/p>\n
