You were crying.\u201d It was obvious from her face.<\/p>\n

There were tear streaks down her cheeks, and her beautiful eyes were rimmed with red. \u201cWas the crop too much?\u201d \u201cNo,\u201d she said, taking hold of his hand. There was something so intimate about this. She wasn\u2019t just naked because of her lack of clothes. It was like her layers, her defenses, had been stripped away. \u201cIt was just right. I\u2026 I loved it, Daddy. I just\u2026 wish I had earned the punishment.\u201d \u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d She bit her lip. \u201cUmmm\u2026 nothing?\u201d He fixed her with a serious look.<\/p>\n

She did, however, tell him all about Maisie. \u201cThat rat!\u201d Jaben said, pouring wonderfully warm water over Zara\u2019s hair. \u201cIt\u2019s okay,\u201d Zara said. \u201cShe probably made a mistake.\u201d Jaben snorted. \u201cNo fucking chance. I\u2019m sorry. I shouldn\u2019t cuss. I just\u2026 I\u2019m so angry on your behalf.\u201d She was in the tub back at their shared suite. Jaben had insisted that for a scene as intense as the one they\u2019d shared, he had to make sure she was feeling good and cared for.<\/p>\n

The warm water did sting her butt a little, but it was so fantastic to be in the bubbly tub that she didn\u2019t care. \u201cIt\u2019s okay, Daddy. I won\u2019t spank you today. You\u2019ve been a very good Daddy.\u201d He smiled. Of all the kindnesses he showed, his smile was the best.<\/p>\n

It felt so good to be silly with him. \u201cDerek\u2019s gonna blow his top when he finds out about this.\u201d Zara\u2019s pulse quickened. \u201cUm, no, please. We can\u2019t tell Derek.<\/p>\n

But every time Zara came in here, there was a psychologist sitting across from her. \u201cYour Royal Highness,\u201d said the well-dressed, middle-aged woman on the other side of the mahogany desk, \u201cdo you know why your mother has asked for me to consult with you today?\u201d<\/p>\n

It was always her mother. Queen Charlotte Dominique Sussex I. Loved by all. Queen Charlotte always had time for her subjects, her duties, and her nation. But that left precious little time for her own children. Especially her youngest. Princess Zara was fourth in line to the throne. Sadly, that also meant she was fourth in line for her mother\u2019s affection.
