\u201cI just wanted to make something special for you and celebrate all you\u2019ve been doing lately,\u201d I said as I placed a plate of food in front of him. I sat down across from him and held his hands as he prayed over our food. \u201cOh! Baby, you forgot the wine!<\/p>\n

Let me grab that real quick,\u201d he said, standing before I could get a word in. He brought back a wine bottle with two glasses. \u201cI\u2019m not going to have any wine tonight. I have a little bit of a headache,\u201d I lied. \u201cOkay. I\u2019ll take care of that later,\u201d he said, shooting me his bedroom eyes.<\/p>\n

What a sexy, sexy man, I thought. He told me all about his experience back on the road with the fellas and how he couldn\u2019t believe some of the bad habits they still had. \u201cI\u2019m too grown to share a room with those guys. Johnny leaves his clothes and shoes everywhere, and Marcell still sleeps completely nude!\u201d he said, grimacing at the flashback he had. \u201cI paid extra just to have a room to myself! I couldn\u2019t wait to get back here to my wife!<\/p>\n

You\u2019re the only one I want to see sleeping nude,\u201d he said, kissing the back of my hand. \u201cHow\u2019d you feel in the house alone while I was away? I know we talked almost every day, but were you okay?\u201d he asked, sipping his wine.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything was fine; it was interesting actually\u2014\u201d I started, when Wesley\u2019s phone began to ring. \u201cIt\u2019s Candice. It\u2019s a video call so I can say goodnight to Sky. Hold that thought,\u201d he said, before answering the phone. \u201cHey pretty girl! Daddy misses you!\u201d he greeted, with a huge grin on his face. He talked to Sky for a few minutes and told Candice he would call her back tomorrow. I smiled at him because the love he had for Sky was so sweet, I couldn\u2019t help but for some of it to rub off on me.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, what were you saying? What made it so interesting?\u201d he asked. \u201cI love how you love her,\u201d I answered, still in the moment he shared with his daughter. \u201cYeah, that\u2019s my little angel,\u201d he beamed. I smiled, fully taking in this moment before my next words. \u201cDo you think Sky would be a good big sister?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think so. She sweet, she\u2019s caring, and she\u2019s very social,\u201d he answered casually, placing a fork full of food in his mouth. \u201cThat\u2019s good, because in about seven and a half months, we\u2019ll find out just how good of a big sister she\u2019ll be,\u201d I said, releasing a cleansing breath.<\/p>\n
