And did she meet Pixie three years ago when she and Daddy visited the village?\u201d \u201cI don\u2019t quite remember.<\/p>\n

Does it really matter? Pixie is a compassionate soul. That trait hadn\u2019t gone unnoticed by others. \u201cIt\u2019s something I\u2019d have to discuss with her,\u201d Tricia agreed. \u201cWell, go for it. She seemed to process the plan as a lark, a chance not only to play dress-up but also to indulge in an acting assignment. She would use her real name, but she would play the part of a confidant. She made it clear that depending on the level of trust Sheila gave her, she may or may not repeat the information she learned to Tricia and\/or Angelica.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s all I can ask of you,\u201d Tricia said. \u201cOur aim is to keep her safe.\u201d \u201cI get it. What say I start the day at Haven\u2019t Got a Clue, and when you get the release forms signed at the hospital, let me know and I\u2019ll meet you at the Brookview.\u201d \u201cGreat. And I really appreciate you taking this on.\u201d \u201cI haven\u2019t had an acting job since playing a bit part in a summer stock production of Chicago I did back when I was a teen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pixie had had so many weird and wonderful occupations during her life that Tricia wasn\u2019t surprised that thespian was another one that could be entered on her r\u00e9sum\u00e9. \u201cReally?\u201d \u201cOh, yeah. My mom was doing two months in the county lockup, and nobody knew what to do with me, so I got some kind of scholarship and got shipped to Connecticut.<\/p>\n

I had room and board, and even got some new clothes out of the deal.<\/p>\n
