And he was no castle server. \u201cBorder?\u201d I hissed. \u201cWhat are you doing here?\u201d \u201cDromir had an idea.\u201d Another unexpected voice, but one I knew well. \u201cShiffen.\u201d My heartbeat picked up.<\/p>\n<p>These were two men from Dromir\u2019s rebellion. Two that had been at so many meetings with me that I knew their voices. \u201cHow many of you are here?\u201d I scanned the dark ship, wondering how far Warrick was from us. \u201cJus\u2019 us,\u201d Border whispered back. \u201cDromir said he wus worried \u2018bout you having to spend \u2018nother night with that fae. So we\u2019s here to take care of \u2018im for you.\u201d My heart started pounding harder.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I\u2019d tried to kill him, and yes, I\u2019d taken another knife from Dromir. But Warrick had stayed awake all night and not touched me. And then he\u2019d been friendly all day. And so sweet on the boarding plank and ship. Maybe he was still planning something, but I wasn\u2019t sure killing him was the solution anymore. My stomach clenched into a tight knot, and I scratched my thumbnail. The fact was, I\u2019d never killed anyone, and the idea of it now that I\u2019d spent some time with Warrick made me a little bit sick.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe jus\u2019 need you to pull him away from ev\u2019rybody else.
