He had heard similar dreams expressed by any number of actors, and his normal reaction was, all sounds great; you just wait till you get out into the real world, sonny. But Jimmy Sheet spoke with such assurance that he made his plans sound more like business decisions than pipe dreams. He seemed to be in no doubt that he would be able to follow his proposed career path, and Charles found himself equally convinced. \u2018What do you put your money in?\u2019<\/p>\n

Jimmy Sheet asked suddenly. \u2018I beg your pardon?\u2019 said Charles. \u2018Your money \u2013 what\u2019s it in?\u2019 \u2018Erm . . .\u2019 Difficult question to answer, really. The truth \u2013 I haven\u2019t got any \u2013 sounded just too pathetic and self-pitying. \u2018Oh, this and that.\u2019 \u2018Mm. Spread the investment \u2013 something to be said for that, certainly. I got most of my dosh in property.\u2019 \u2018Have you?\u2019 \u2018Yeah. Don\u2019t think you can ultimately lose with property.\u2019<\/p>\n
