She would not apologize for finding joy in the prospect of destroying the war machines she\u2019d been tricked into bringing into the world. They shot forward, cutting through the endless void of the Dark and straight toward the leading dirigible. Suddenly, a ripple went over Luxion, and the next thing she knew, he disappeared out from under her.<\/p>\n

\u201cTen!?\u201d Iwe\u2019i called in concern, and the rider realized she probably could have warned her back-saddle partner that her dragon could do that. Ten leaned toward where she assumed Luxion\u2019s head would be. \u201cHey, you want to include us in your cloaking, you giant silly?\u201d There was a chirp that was entirely not befitting a battle-dragon, but it was cute nonetheless, and a moment later, Ten could see Luxion again.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat just happened?\u201d Iwe\u2019i asked again, his voice impressively calm considering he\u2019d just seen a dragon disappear then reappear underneath him. That was bound to rattle even the most composed of individuals. \u201cLuxion can hide himself and occasionally others from sight, if they\u2019re close enough.\u201d \u201cIs that what he\u2019s doing now? Because I can see him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as I can tell,\u201d Ten answered, sheathing her sword and pulling her crossbow out from its holster. \u201cIt\u2019s not like I can really know for sure.\u201d Iwe\u2019i twisted in the saddle, but Ten didn\u2019t take her eyes off their target long enough to see what he was looking at.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, that might be an issue for our allies considering there are about ten of our friends not far behind us.\u201d Oh\u2026right. How would they know where Ten and Luxion were attacking if they couldn\u2019t see them? She hadn\u2019t thought of that. Geez, battle and suddenly manifesting insane powers were much more complicated than legends ever made it sound like.<\/p>\n

\u201cLuxion, our allies will need to know where we\u2019re targeting.\u201d He let out another chirp of understanding, and Ten once more saw a ripple flow over her, Iwe\u2019i, and Luxion, but that was it. She hoped that meant he\u2019d listened to her and changed it, but it wasn\u2019t like she had any way to be sure.<\/p>\n

It would probably be much more efficient to have an experienced rider at the front, one who was used to leading large groups, but Ten was the only one who knew how to get to the secret Aeotarai underground city.<\/p>\n
