Dan told me that he knows my background working for the police and if I don\u2019t help him, he will make sure that my business goes under.\u201d Elsey\u2019s mouth is open, her eyes are wide as she shakes her head slowly in disbelief. Claire continues, \u201cAt the beginning, I thought he was just paranoid, but as time has gone on it has become certain that someone knows more than they should. There will be some incredible socialites at the Barugo wedding, ones that she hopes will become clients of her own one day. Claire tries to reassure Elsey as not to worry her, \u201cThere\u2019s no denying that Dan is a handful, but one that I can definitely deal with.<\/p>\n

In her office she heads directly to the windows overlooking Sydney\u2019s Botanical Gardens, continuing to appreciate the natural world around her.<\/p>\n

The change of season brings a warm hue across the park, as the trees\u2019 bright leaves remind her that time stands still for no one or nothing. Settling in at her desk, a smile crosses her face as a photo of the Italian coastline lights up the screen. Already frustrated by her discomfort, she kicks off her high heels, flexing each foot.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
