Shadows draped the room with the exception of moonlight filtering through the open window, but even if plunged in total darkness, she would have known who had taken ahold of her.

The knowledge thrummed deep in her bones, the scent of pine and earth washing over her exaggerated senses. Spiros glared, eyes dark and lips bared in a silent snarl. Snow dusted his hair and the shoulders of his windbreaker. His smooth, reptilian tail flickered behind him in constant agitation. Snowflakes continued to drift into the room, which seemed to be a wood paneled reading study, books lining the shelves muting the sound of voices and music from below.

There was a feeling of complete isolation, as if they were adjacent to the world but not truly in it. “Why didn’t you call me?” Sam’s body was a creature separated from her control, shivering and trembling as she tried to press closer to him.

The cold air reaching its tendrils from outside was a relief against her heated skin, but it was overwhelmed by the wave of want that threatened to drown her in the riptide. Spiros removed his hand so she could speak, but Sam had no words to share. When she started to slide down the wood, he grabbed both her arms and pushed her back against the closed door.

Fury radiated from the demon, but Sam didn’t care. She was barely a person, a simple thing of balled flesh that forgot how to beg, so it trembled with a need that bordered on grief. He’d known to come to her. He always knew. And some bestial part of her reveled in the knowledge he would come running. “I m-made it worse,” she said through hitched breaths. “So much worse.

Didn’t th-think.” Sam closed her eyes; it didn’t help much, but it put a filter on at least one of her senses, so she didn’t feel so alien in her own skin. “Please. I need…please…” She babbled, desperate and afraid and yearning, the ache so deep she feared it would split her in two. “Please… I’m sorry…” “Okay.” His rough edges were gone, a kind of tired defeat taking their place.

“Okay.” Pulling back only far enough to reach the front of his trousers, he unbuckled his belt and yanked down the zipper. His bulge was prominent and eager, a reaction Sam knew by now was solely tied to his hunger, but it didn’t matter. Like a trained response, saliva flooded her mouth at the sound of his belt unbuckling, and her muscles coiled like a predator about to spring on its prey if it made the wrong move.

Copyright © 2026 L. You may not have found your place in the universe yet, but you will. 1kitap1.com/en Prologue He came into the world much the same way he did the first time: trembling, fearful, and wishing to return to the safe warmth of the womb. Not that his escape route had been anything as natural as a birth canal, nor did Ash regret fleeing the place that was both an eternal nightmare and a living hell.

But he’d forgotten what it meant to live. As if everything was designed to overload his senses—colors, smells and temperatures bombarding him from every angle until he wanted to scream.
