Eisenhower who said, \u201cPlans are worthless, but planning is everything.\u201d I encourage you to find a framework that best suits you (or feel free to use ours) or claim whatever structure allows you to always feel ready to face anything that comes your way.<\/p>\n<p>When Crisis Comes: A Checklist When a crisis hits, and it\u2019s a safe bet that it will, a wrong response can trash in a moment the strong public image built and cultivated over years, hence, the phrase that reputation is earned in drops and lost in buckets. These reputation spills seem guaranteed to keep flowing. In February of 2022, Spotify\u2019s chief executive Daniel Ek had to apologize to employees for the way mega-podcaster Joe Rogan used racial slurs. Ek wrote in a letter to employees, \u201cThere are no words I can say to adequately convey how deeply sorry I am for the way \u2018The Joe Rogan Experience\u2019 controversy continues to impact you.<\/p>\n<p>Not only are some of Joe Rogan\u2019s comments incredibly hurtful, but I also want to make clear that they do not represent the values of this company.\u201d I admire the way Ek moved quickly to clarify his views with his most important constituency\u2014Spotify\u2019s employees. One month later, the behemoth Disney Corporation was in a public relations crossfire when the company had originally declined to take a stand on proposed legislation in Florida that restricted classroom discussion of gender identity and sexual orientation.
