The smell of bacon and coffee forced me to stop. I hope that was okay.” “You don’t have to ask permission, they’re your files after all. I’m pretty sure the files for your appointments next week are in there too or at least on the desktop. Look, why don’t you just play around on the computer, and check out all the software?

I know there is a very simple chart we designed for all the beginning employees. You should be able to use that and trial and error to figure out the rest of it. I’ve got to run to the store and when I get back, I’ll answer any questions you might have. Okay? Just leave the kitchen and I’ll get to it when I return.” “Uh, yeah sure. What if I screw something up though?”

I wasn’t exactly computer literate. Worse case, we can always use the backup version, but I can’t see that happening. Just get comfortable with it.” Christine disappeared down the hall, leaving the breakfast dishes in the sink and all her paperwork still spread out on the table. I knew she promised, but I cleaned what I could. After all, she had cooked breakfast. I had just turned on the dishwasher when she walked back in.

“I thought you said you were going to the grocery store?” I asked looking at Christine’s outfit. Gone were the T-shirt and shorts replaced by dress slacks and a blouse. “I am. Just wanted to make a quick change and now I’m out of here. I promise, I promise. Believe me, I know that look. Nothing’s changed there either.” I wish that were the case. This morning when I walked into the kitchen, I had been so happy to see Christine dressed in her usual cutoff shorts and t-shirt. That was the Christine I remembered.

Now I didn’t recognize the person standing before me. “What’s wrong? Since when do you dress up so much on a Sunday? Especially to go to the grocery store?” “Since I met you, I guess. Outside working hours my style was pretty much what you saw this morning; cut-offs and t-shirts.

This book is a work of fiction. It’s that damn dream again. I glanced over at Ralph, happy to see he was still asleep. Taking deep breaths, I relaxed, settled back down, and tried to shake off the effects of the dream. I was stumped as to why I couldn’t ever remember any of these dreams.

I couldn’t see who I was with or where I was, but I could recall in vivid detail how those hands made me feel. My fingers were already between my legs, feeling the moisture I knew was there. Slipping out of the bedroom as quietly as possible, I ran down the hall, disappearing into the guest room. I locked the door and dropped onto the bed, my fingers now exploring under my nightgown. My body began to tremble as I retraced the path from my dream, my excitement building as I remembered every move and touch.

As my fingers slid in and out of my waiting body, my mind kept wandering back to the dream. No one had ever made me feel this way. This lover knew exactly where to touch and how to excite my body, creating emotions and feelings that I never experienced before. Now if I could only remember who I was with. As always, just as I was on the verge of the most mind-blowing, cunt crunching orgasm I ever had, I woke up; every single time.

My body still needed release, and there was no one to assist me. Too bad Ralph wasn’t interested, at least not in the middle of the night. I still remember the first time I tried to wake him up, looking for some ‘lovin.’

This is a short excerpt from the opening of “” by Unknown, quoted for review and introduction purposes.
