I reminded her that my only involvement was calling her ranch. I then suggested that she bring all her lunch guests to Jake\u2019s, promised good food, and said they could check out how we incorporated the game room. She didn\u2019t hesitate to accept.\u201d \u201cSince all\u2019s been quiet, I\u2019m thinking some kind of agreement must\u2019ve been reached, or the cops would have been back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Once inside the gate, the number one rule was to wait for it to close so no one could sneak inside.<\/p>\n

I kept eyeing the coffees in the holder, ready to gulp one down; the other one was for Fab. If I were to drink in front of her, having not gotten one for her, there would be no end to the snark. CRUNCH! My Range Rover slammed forward with such force that I barely managed to hang onto the steering wheel. I glanced in my rearview mirror as two mambo-sized pickups maneuvered around my SUV. One made a hard turn in front of me and, from the sounds of it, took out the headlights as he hemmed me in, blocking me from going anywhere.<\/p>\n

The other truck shot down the road, and once he passed where Casio lived and then my house, it was clear he was headed to Fab\u2019s. The driver of the truck in front of me jumped out and aimed his gun at my windshield. Despite knowing the glass was bulletproof, I still flopped sideways, keeping my head down as he shot at it. The glass starred in more than a half-dozen places.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
