Survival demanded immersing oneself in simulated gravity and light, pretending to be planetside. Yet Winona spent much of her time at the massive observation windows aboard the station, as though she was actually trying to cook her brain.<\/p>\n

She loved the view of distant stars and nebulae and the barely audible, monotonous, ASMR-like hum that surrounded her. \u201cWinona Dusk,\u201d called a voice behind her, snapping her out of her trancelike state. She turned. A familiar humanoid being with smooth grey skin, large black eyes, high cheekbones and thin colorless lips approached. A Divdan. \u201cAm I in trouble, Madam Yia?\u201d Winona asked, speaking in plain English. Yia tilted her head to the side slightly, the Divdan equivalent of an exasperated eye roll.<\/p>\n
