As you move into the granny square blocks and projects that make up the heart of the book, the theories you\u2019ve learned are explored in more detail. You\u2019ll also find lots of designs, layout ideas, and orientations to try. Many of the blocks would work well mixed together, so you\u2019ll be able to create unique layouts.<\/p>\n

I have worked each block in more than one colorway, to show you how a variation in colorway can change the whole look of a crochet piece. Use these examples to guide you in creating your own layouts. When picking a colorway, I tend to begin with a favorite color or color pairing and gradually add more to it. Color preference is very personal, so I recommend you start with your favorite color and, using the color theory section as a guide, begin to add colors, trying to include light and dark shades for added contrast, until you have a colorway you love.<\/p>\n

There are four projects at the end of the book that you can make as described, or you could adapt them using your own palette. You could even switch up the blocks used in the projects to make your own unique projects. With so many beautiful options to choose from, there is plenty of inspiration here to help you gain confidence in picking your own color palettes for crochet projects.<\/p>\n
