Right in front of me. It takes me by surprise, and I have to straddle my legs wider so I\u2019m not\u2026you know, clenching her hips with my thighs. Talk about fucking inappropriate. \u201cOrah, what are you\u2014\u201d \u201cShow me,\u201d she demands, completely interrupting me. \u201cLet me see your shoulder.\u201d I lift an eyebrow and give her a noncommittal chuckle. \u201cYou don\u2019t believe me?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll always believe you, Ridge.\u201d I can\u2019t even formulate a response. I don\u2019t deserve the trust and confidence that she puts in me. Fortunately, she\u2019s distracted from paralyzing me with her gaze when a small group of nurses come out the side door, giggling and chattering. I scoot back a little, trying to drag myself out of her magnetic pull. \u201cI can\u2019t whip my shirt off, Orah. We\u2019re surrounded by people.\u201d<\/p>\n
