Though successes, plenty, and abundance of worldly comforts argue of theuiselves neither love nor hatred, truth nor falsehood because the wise providence of God, for holy ends and reasons often undiscerned by us, permits often the tabernacles of robbers to prosper, and permits those that ‘ deal treacherously ‘ with the truths of God ‘ to be i^lanted, to take root, to grow, yea, to bring forth fruit’\u2014never- theless if in a way of error they meet with outward blessings, they are apt to ascribe all to their errors, and to say as Israel, Hosea ii.<\/p>\n
