\u201cYou\u2019re their ultimate example, the rod by which every shifter in your Corps measures themselves. It\u2019s impossible for them to look at you and not find themselves wanting. Except,\u201d Deyvid amended, \u201cin a few very specific cases.\u201d \u201cAh, well. Lise is special,\u201d Petur said. \u201cShe is,\u201d Deyvid agreed. Lise had only ever sought one form, her owl, and was so devastatingly effective in it that no one would dare suggest she take on another.<\/p>\n
