What if your circumstances have changed? Perhaps you received some awesome prophetic words for your family, and then your husband went out and committed adultery, and you ended up getting divorced. An answer and a direction you received from the Lord years ago changed because you are no longer together, all because sin and temptation from the enemy entered your marriage. \u200bWhat if you were supposed to do something to carry out the plan God had for you?<\/p>\n

Did He give you specific instructions? Did He tell you to go out to coffee with someone you would have connected with to manifest His plan and you didn\u2019t? Some things don\u2019t come to pass because we don\u2019t continually keep pressing in for God\u2019s will to be done. We don\u2019t ask Him for the next step or direction, and we assume everything is in God\u2019s control. Everything is not in God\u2019s control. He has given man and woman their own free choice. If you are waiting for something to come to pass, and it seems like it has been a long time or that the direction has changed, pray again.<\/p>\n

\u200bWhen my husband was entering the ministry, he was going to take an at\u2013home study course to get his seminary degree. It was a program established by the denomination we were attending, and we thought it was best for our family. As we waited to go through the necessary paperwork and licensing to become a pastor in our denomination, our plans started to change. All of a sudden, we found ourselves praying about attending full- time seminary. This was a stretch for us as he would have to commute a long distance, or we would have to relocate.<\/p>\n

We had three children, ages four, six, and eight, and we wanted my husband to be a very active father in their lives. As we continued to pray through the situation, we were sure we were called to full time seminary. We then continued with the direction we had received and waited to hear what our next step would be from the leaders of our denomination.<\/p>\n

As we waited, we felt the Lord leading us to take the home study course again. We prayed, \u201cAre you sure, Lord? We are willing to do whatever you want.\u201d We discovered after much prayer that the Lord was testing us to see if we would be obedient. His direction changed for us, but we kept taking every step to prayer and not just going in the old direction.<\/p>\n
