I think so. \u2018You\u2019ll be able to go home tomorrow, then.\u2019 She gives me a tight smile. \u2018That\u2019s what we discussed. Yes.\u2019 Then she puts on that face again \u2013 the concerned one. \u2018You\u2019re sure I didn\u2019t upset you?\u2019 \u2018Not at all.\u2019 I shove the box back on the shelf. \u2018Listen. I haven\u2019t said anything to Holly about this, so please don\u2019t.\u2019 \u2018You didn\u2019t?\u2019<\/p>\n

Miles away.\u2019 I turn around. \u2018Can I help with dinner?\u2019 I ask Teri, who is opening a bottle of wine. She frowns at me. \u2018It\u2019s already in the oven.\u2019 \u2018Of course. I knew that. Shepherd\u2019s pie, isn\u2019t it?\u2019 \u2018Yes, that\u2019s right.\u2019 She and Holly exchange a look.<\/p>\n
