Imogene grabbed one the color of raspberry jam and thrust it toward Catherine\u2019s chest with a salacious smirk. \u201cI suppose you want me to wear this?\u201d \u201cYou look great in your usual black and white and gray. But if you\u2019re going to work for me, even for a day, you should wear my merchandise.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay.\u201d Catherine wasn\u2019t about to argue something that made a lot of sense. \u201cYou can use my office to change and hang up your coat.\u201d Catherine nodded and made her way through patrons and racks of clothing to the office. Imogene remained frozen in place, but she took time to watch Catherine walk away.<\/p>\n

She moved her slim hips ever so slightly, and her small, rounded backside left Imogene in a stupor until she heard the door to her office close. \u201cDo you have these in a size four?\u201d asked a petite woman, startling Imogene. She looked at the print pants the customer held out. \u201cWe do. They should be on the rack.\u201d \u201cThey\u2019re not.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m sure we didn\u2019t sell them all.\u201d Imogene smiled politely and walked her customer over to the display in question.<\/p>\n

She sifted through several hangers before finding the correct size. \u201cHere we go.\u201d She handed the pants over and the woman stalked off without a thank you. Before Imogene could dwell on the display of rudeness, a middle-aged gentleman approached her with a frantic expression. \u201cMy wife\u2019s birthday is today, and I\u2019ve been in meetings all day so I haven\u2019t been able to get her a gift.\u201d His eyes were wide with worry. You could\u2019ve shopped a day earlier. Imogene bit her tongue. \u201cNot to worry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Imogene pointed to a large table filled with various accessories. \u201cDoes she like jewelry?\u201d \u201cYeah, I-I think so.\u201d He looked to Imogene again. \u201cWould you be happy if your husband came home with jewelry?\u201d \u201cI don\u2019t have a husband, but I\u2019d always be happy with jewelry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Imogene jumped when Catherine chimed in from behind her.<\/p>\n
