Do you not want them to visit?\u201d I shook my head. \u201cI have no issues with your parents coming to visit,\u201d I told him. \u201cIn fact, I\u2019m very much looking forward to meeting them. I wish my parents were still alive and you would have had the opportunity to meet them. They weren\u2019t exactly terrible parents, but they weren\u2019t amazing either.\u201d I think they would have liked Frederick, but I\u2019ll never know.<\/p>\n

The door to the cabin opened and a man who was in slacks and a button-down shirt stepped out onto the porch. \u201cFrederick, bring your One in out of the cold.\u201d He looked over at me and grinned. \u201cI\u2019m Rainier, by the way. You must be Dominic,\u201d he said as he came down a few steps with an outstretched hand.<\/p>\n

I reached for the offered hand and shook it. \u201cI am, yes. It\u2019s so nice to meet you finally. Frederick has talked about all of you several times since we claimed one another.\u201d Rainier offered a warm smile. \u201cHopefully everything he has told you was positive.\u201d I smiled at the older warlock. I knew exactly what he was doing, and that he most likely understood just how nervous I was about meeting everyone in the family. \u201cIs there anything other than positive to say about our family?\u201d<\/p>\n

Frederick said teasingly. \u201cI\u2019m sure there are a few skeletons in our families closet somewhere. Let\u2019s not worry about dragging those out tonight, though,\u201d Rainier said before he turned back my way. \u201cIf I don\u2019t get you inside soon, \u00c9tienne is never going to let me hear the end of it. He is super excited to meet you, as are Eli and Drew.\u201d I was quickly trying to remember who belong to whom, but I was failing miserably.<\/p>\n

With Fredericks hand on my back we followed Rainier up into the house. \u201cEli is Benjamin\u2019s One, and Drew is Sebastian\u2019s,\u201d he told me through our bond. I looked over at him in relief. \u201cHow did you know?\u201d \u201cThe panic I felt through our bond told me you were struggling with something.<\/p>\n

But once his mind clears, he quickly realizes that he should have known better, and he owes the gorgeous warlock an apology for the public snub. Will Dominic forgive him though? Frederick is Book Fifteen in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Each book in this series will focus on a different couple, but these books are not standalones and should be read in order as there is an ongoing backstory that won\u2019t be resolved quickly.<\/p>\n
