I leaned against the desk, arms folded across my chest. \u201cI have\u2026 somewhere else to be.\u201d \u201cWith Dean?\u201d \u201cYes. And I need to change clothes, so thank you for the tea, but you can go now.\u201d Mila studied me for several long seconds, and I felt the weight of that scrutiny. Then her eyes widened. \u201cYou are nervous.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not nervous.\u201d \u201cLiar. I looked away, which was apparently all the confirmation she required. \u201cOh my God.\u201d I jerked my head up in time to see her slow smile unfold. \u201cI have waited years for this moment.\u201d I narrowed my gaze. \u201cWhat moment?\u201d She pointed at me.<\/p>\n
