Sorry. I haven\u2019t had a chance to look yet,\u201d Ryan winced. James had been texting him updates, but he hadn\u2019t texted back much.<\/p>\n

Combined with what they\u2019d last done together, James might be thinking he was withdrawing. \u201cNo problem,\u201d James answered. \u201cThis is all more important.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m sure it looks great. Show me after this is done,\u201d Ryan told him, and James brightened up. \u201cWill do. How about yours?\u201d Aside from work and then more work on this, Ryan hadn\u2019t had much time for anything fun. He entertained James with anecdotes from the job site. A terribly misdirected nail gun had almost taken out a stack of windows that day.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat must be taking a toll, all this extra work,\u201d James frowned. \u201cYou should teach me the basics so I can do\u2026 you know, the grunt work.\u201d Actually, that sounded perfect. \u201cReally?\u201d Ryan asked to be sure. \u201cIt is tough sometimes.\u201d James eyed him. \u201cYou think I\u2019m allergic to hard work?\u201d<\/p>\n

You\u2019re here,\u201d Ryan gestured around with the brush, almost splashing stain on James. \u201cOops.\u201d \u201cYou painting me? I\u2019ll paint you,\u201d James threatened, his eyes crinkling in another of those adorable smiles.<\/p>\n

Ryan laughed. \u201cWe can\u2019t get into a stain fight.\u201d \u201cAgreed,\u201d James smirked. \u201cNo time, no extra supplies.<\/p>\n

His other wrapped around the back of Ryan\u2019s neck, pulling him down against his lips. They kissed slowly, tentatively, both half-afraid to breathe a sound or make a comment.<\/p>\n

Ryan wondered if he wasn\u2019t the gun-shy one here. He\u2019d thought it was James, but the cock pressing into his thigh argued that it wasn\u2019t. James\u2019s hands were squeezing his ass and pulling him close. James sucked on his lower lip until Ryan\u2019s eyes fluttered closed and he groaned. One thought kept racing through his head. This won\u2019t end well. James\u2019s lips were too warm, his body too soft, his soap, coconut, and pine smell too intoxicating.<\/p>\n

He\u2019d never thought those smells would mix so well, but on James, they were perfect. Everything was perfect on James. That thought was a bad sign. Ryan was smitten, wasn\u2019t he? And James was about to tell him, as his business partner and manager, that this was a dumb idea. To delay the inevitable shattered moment together, Ryan pressed his lips harder against James\u2019s.<\/p>\n

He gasped into James\u2019s mouth as their wet lips parted and tongues met. James was kissing him so hard he had to grab the edge of the counter.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
