Charlie groaned. \u201cFine. I\u2019ll cheer up.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m not asking you to cheer up, Charlotte. I\u2019m asking you to tell me what\u2019s on your mind.\u201d She blinked, startled. That didn\u2019t sound like something Elias would say. That sounded like something someone who genuinely cared about her would say.<\/p>\n<p>He must have had the same realization. \u201cI didn\u2019t mean it like that,\u201d he said quickly. \u201cI just meant\u2026\u201d Scratching the back of his head, he sighed. \u201cIt \u2026 bothers me.
