She watched as the man hit the fast-moving ground outside and bounced. Not just once, but three times. His limbs were as bendy and useless as a dummy thrown from a window in an old film. Even though she knew his awful intentions, guilt fired like lightning through her body. The man sank into the distance as the freight train rocketed forward. She watched him clamber to his feet, his face a mask of raw rips, fist raised as he limped after the train, stranded and unable to board.<\/p>\n

Cici slumped down to her knees, held onto the open doorway, and sucked air, trying to calm her nerves. Better get used to this. I\u2019m on my own now. She punched the boxcar\u2019s floor, and a small puff of dust rose. Los Angeles wasn\u2019t going to be a cakewalk like some TV sitcom. It would be like everything else in her life: a fight. She punched the floor again, and more dust rose. \u201cI\u2019m gonna fight,\u201d she whispered. \u201cAnd I\u2019ll never give up.\u201d OceanofPDF.com \u201cCut!\u201d Danny Steinman cried as Satan\u2019s Rainbow stopped miming on the stage at Gazzarri\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s flashing lights immediately paused, the smoke machine stopped. The girls around them in the death masks stopped jiggling, and the speaker system playing \u201cEver Heard of Mr. Death?\u201d for the umpteenth time was quickly snapped off. \u200b\u201cHow\u2019d that wide look?\u201d Danny barked at the cameraman. \u201cWell, it was in focus,\u201d the cameraman said with a shrug. Danny shrugged back. \u201cOkay, you guys, take five. We\u2019ve shot all the A stuff and B stuff\u2014\u201d \u201cSo we\u2019re wrapped?\u201d Hamo asked, wiping sweat from his brow. Beside him, Derek, Michael, and Jon Von were getting acquainted with the pole dancers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not wrapped.\u201d Freddie sighed, dropped down in a cross- legged position, and started to strum his guitar. \u201cWe\u2019re not wrapped yet,\u201d Danny shouted back. Hamo and Freddie shared a look. \u201cWe need to get some C footage.\u201d Hamo cried, \u201cC footage? I thought there was only A and B?\u201d \u201cAnd C, and D, and E, and \u2026\u201d Freddie murmured. \u201cJust some expression shots of the band reacting to the girls dancing \u2014C footage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEasiest thing you\u2019ve ever filmed, bro!\u201d Derek said. Both of his hands finding a place to rest on two of the dancers\u2019 rear ends. \u201cTake five, and I\u2019ll set up the shot,\u201d Danny said. The crew shifted the lights and the camera around as Satan\u2019s Rainbow climbed offstage.<\/p>\n
