Which is true, by the way.\u201d She shakes her head. \u201cYou really think she\u2019s pissed because you pointed out that I\u2019m best friends with her?\u201d I shrug. \u201cWow,\u201d she states dramatically, dragging out the word. \u201cYou really are an idiot, Marcus. She\u2019s hurt that you said she isn\u2019t your type. To.<\/p>\n

Your. Friends. She\u2019s hurt that you pretty much said you\u2019d rather be abstinent for the rest of your life than touch her with a ten-foot pole. How the hell do you think that makes her feel, Marcus?\u201d I open my mouth to answer, but she pushes forward, taking a step closer until we\u2019re almost chest to chest.<\/p>\n

Or\u2026chest to forehead, since she\u2019s so short. \u201cIt makes her feel ugly. It makes her feel unwanted. It makes her feel like she\u2019s your younger sister\u2019s annoying little friend. That\u2019s how it makes her feel.\u201d I grimace, feeling like a piece of shit. \u201cWanna know something funny?\u201d she continues. Again, I open my mouth to answer, but she keeps on spouting her verbal assault.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was rooting for you. Honestly, I\u2019ve always been rooting for you. But after this? After all the other stuff you\u2019ve put her through? I just\u2026I can\u2019t anymore. If you don\u2019t fix this then I\u2019m going to stop cock-blocking for you and finally become the wing woman Natalie so desperately deserves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Soph: Good. They\u2019re growing like little weeds. I\u2019m getting huge! chuckle to myself as I picture my fairy-sized sister growing two tiny humans inside her miniature frame. Me: That sounds promising. Does the doctor honestly think you\u2019re going to be able to fit two in there?<\/p>\n

We found out a few months ago that not only is my kid sister pregnant, but she\u2019s having twins. I guess we shouldn\u2019t be too surprised, since we have a set of younger twin sisters too. Apparently, they run in the family. Soph: Hey!! I\u2019m gonna rock the baby belly! Just you wait, mister! My mouth turns into a full-on grin.<\/p>\n

Me: I have no doubt. My thumbs hover over the screen on my phone as I have the same debate with myself that I\u2019ve had since I found out she was pregnant. I want to move closer to her. We grew up in California together with our family. Almost a year ago, however, she and her best friend, Natalie, decided to move to New York for some life experience. I roll my eyes at the thought.<\/p>\n

If she counts getting knocked up from a one-night stand life experience, then sure. Seems like she succeeded. Regardless, she\u2019s my little sister, and we\u2019ve always been inseparable. I know her boyfriend is a good guy, but that doesn\u2019t seem to make a difference to my over-protective alter-ego\u2013\u2013aka Big Brother. I need to be there for her. Especially because she\u2019s having twins. What the hell is she gonna do with twins? I groan at the thought. Sophie\u2019s always been a handful.<\/p>\n
