I hope you enjoyed your break from me.\u201d \u201cHated it actually,\u201d she muttered. \u201cI did too.\u201d LIKE A SUPERFAN anxiously awaiting the arrival of his favorite artist, Jahlil subtly swayed from side to side. The opening act on stage was a local rapper from the Crimson Kings side of the neighborhood, by the name of Cutty. His lyrics were nice but Jahlil couldn\u2019t focus on it because everything in his body was ready to see Emani perform for the first time. He swayed somewhere between regret and excitement.<\/p>\n

Seven years of only witnessing her stardom from a phone screen or TV. The time of only rooting for her from thousands of miles away was over. He vowed to himself that now he was going to be up close and personal with everything \u2013 his kids, his career, his personal life. Being great in one area and lacking in another wasn\u2019t what he wanted. Jahlil wanted to be the greatest of all time. So when the time came and he stood on a stage or someone got up to speak about him, they\u2019d say Jahlil Savage was an amazing player, business man, father and husband \u2013 he did not lack.<\/p>\n

He turned slightly to pull himself out of his deep thoughts. The VIP section held a handful of Emani\u2019s sorority sisters, Noble and his wife, Savanhi, Tyris and Gino from the Hawks, and of course, their crew. Gino and Noble were still reeling about winning the pick-up game the night before and Tyris \u2013 quieter than usual.<\/p>\n

Jahlil nudged him. \u201cYou good?\u201d A small nod was given in return. Tyris had kept his relationship woes to himself but Jahlil knew that look. Considering he\u2019d had that look for the last seven years himself \u2013 love lost. \u201cYeah, I\u2019m straight,\u201d Tyris spoke as he turned away from the stage. He hadn\u2019t so much as listened to music since being put out of Normani\u2019s apartment weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Every song playing on the radio, he knew she was in the room when it was recorded, or her pen was the magic behind the lyrics. She was everywhere. Jahlil hummed. \u201cYou got the blues on you, nigga. I can see it. Question is what you doing about it?\u201d \u201cWhat you doing about it?\u201d Tyris replied back. \u201cGoing after your teammate\u2019s girl?\u201d Jahlil chuckled, and Tyris gave him a knowing smirk.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going after what\u2019s mine. That\u2019s mine. I just fucked up. Let me be a lesson, don\u2019t let seven years go by. However long you been like that is long enough.\u201d \u201cI hear you.\u201d Cutty wrapped his set and thanked the crowd before roaming off.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a child cussing. Before you ruin this for people let\u2019s think about the little child you know or were with the silver caps in their or your mouth causing everyone pure hell. Little hellion policing peoples fun as an adult is wild. *Queen Mother voice from Black Panther* REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE! 5. Honestly, we got six young people trying to raise a four year old. What really can go wrong?<\/p>\n

Everything is the only correct answer 6. Enjoy it. And if you don\u2019t enjoy no one else really needs to know. Again, don\u2019t ruin things for people who want to enjoy and rub their feet together. Reading is fun. Don\u2019t torture us. Let the church say, AMEN!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
