\u201cThanks! I hope you\u2019ll come tonight to the town hall meeting! She can use all the support she can get! She\u2019s gonna be sharing her ideas for the town if she\u2019s elected.\u201d \u201cOh, I\u2019m planning on being there. Wouldn\u2019t miss it! Gotta run!\u201d she said as the dog tugged and practically pulled her down the street. The town was buzzing about the town meeting. Almost everyone who came in said they planned to be there. I don\u2019t know what I was expecting, but it made me excited\u2014really excited\u2014for the first time since we started this crazy ride.<\/p>\n

We tried to send Momma home early, but she wanted to stay. I think she was just trying to keep her mind occupied, so she could keep her nerves in check. We closed the shop at 3:00 on the dot and all went home to get ready for the big night.<\/p>\n

\u201cGLORY, WE HAVE A PROBLEM.\u201d Momma began talking as soon as I answered her call. \u201cI\u2019ve got a flat tire, so you\u2019re gonna have to come get me or I\u2019ll be late for the town meeting.\u201d \u201cOh, gosh! I\u2019m almost ready to walk out the door. I\u2019ll feed Izzy and be there in a few. We\u2019ll worry about the flat later. Jake or Hunt will take care of it.\u201d I hung up and ran to the bedroom to run a brush through my unmanageable hair.<\/p>\n

Now that it was getting longer, it was a lost cause. I pinned it back off my face, slapped on some lipstick and grabbed my purse. Izzy reminded me in no uncertain terms that it was supper time. \u201cOh, Izzy! I almost forgot you! I\u2019m sorry!\u201d I scooped her kibble into her bowl and gave her fresh water. \u201cWish your Nana luck! I\u2019ll see you later tonight!\u201d And out the door I ran.<\/p>\n

Momma was sitting on her front porch waiting for me when I pulled into the driveway. I immediately saw the flat tire. But it wasn\u2019t just a flat tire. \u201cMomma! That tire\u2019s been slashed! And so has the back tire!\u201d \u201cI know, Glory, but we don\u2019t have time to worry about that right now.<\/p>\n

Macy Harper. Macy is Glory\u2019s daughter. After completing her degree in Culinary Arts, Macy moves in with Glory and opens the town\u2019s premier bakery and coffee shop, Macy\u2019s on Main. Annie Miller. Glory\u2019s mother and retired schoolteacher. Momma is a live wire with an outgoing personality and no filter. She is a long-standing member of Sweetwater Springs Baptist Church and enjoys spending time with her friends at Rummy Club and running Glory\u2019s life. Hunt Walker. The very handsome, very single, Chief Detective, Hunt Walker, is new to Sweetwater Springs.<\/p>\n

He soon finds out that it\u2019s not the sleepy little town he was led to believe it was. Jake and Kelly Miller. Jake is Glory\u2019s brother and also happens to be a detective, working with Hunt as his boss. Kelly has been Glory\u2019s best friend since childhood and now her sister-in-law, married to Jake.<\/p>\n

Tony Castellini. Macy\u2019s culinary instructor and love interest. He moves to Sweetwater Springs to open an Italian restaurant, Tavolo. Tony\u2019s grandfather, Angelo Castellini is the head of the Castellini crime family. Momma\u2019s Crew.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
